Janice V. Adams

Janice V. Adams, 83, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 9:44 AM, Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville following an extended illness.

Janice was born November 13, 1928 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Franklin and Marie McGreevy Stephenson.

Mrs. Adams had worked as a receptionist at Dr. Curtis' office in Zanesville. She was a member of Maple Ave. Christian Church in Crooksville and was a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Janice is survived by her husband, Cyril W. Adams, with whom she would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on the day of her passing; her daughters, Sharon Worthington and Gail (Ron) Garland all of Zanesville; her grandchildren, Garrett Worthington, Nathan Worthington, Joshua (Jill) Jones and Marisa Jones; her great grandchildren, Anelia, Dalton, Bain, Hannah and Caden Worthington and Jaedon Rae Torres.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her brothers, James, John, Charles and Franklin Stephenson and her sisters, Catherine Groce, Annabelle Appleman and Lucille Bingham.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Monday, December 26 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Janice's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27 at MAPLE AVE. CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 112 Maple Ave., Crooksville with Pastor Conard Wolf officiating. Visitors will be received at the church on Tuesday beginning at 12 noon. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
