Janet Eileen Hill

Janet Eileen Hill, 81, of Crooksville, peacefully passed away in the morning hours of Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her home.

She was born one of four children on November 18, 1943, in Zanesville, a daughter to the late, Calvin and Eileen (Tharp) Fisher.

Following her graduation from nursing school, Janet used her bachelor's degree to spend her life as a nurse. She spent many years as a bedside nurse for the Licking Memorial Hospital and later went on to retire as an administrative assistant with the Licking County Aging Program. In her retirement she spent her days out in the garden, as was a Fisher family tradition. Her greatest role was that of mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her family.

Surviving Janet in life are her children, Amy Utsch, Kathy (David) Smith, Steve (Andrea) Hill and Gene (June) Hill; her siblings, Diane (Ken) Lees, Russell (Betty) Fisher and Dick (Karen) Fisher; as well as a whole host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her grandson, Travis Nelson and her son-in-law, John Utsch.

In keeping with her wishes, her family has decided to have Janet cremated with no formal services.
