James L. Homman, 72, of New Lexington, Ohio formerly of Crooksville passed away at 3:50 PM, Sunday, March 4, 2012 at New Lexington Care & Rehabiliation Center after an extended illness.
Jim was born July 8, 1939 in Zanesville, the son of the late William Homer Homman and Margaret Letha (Thomas)Bell. He was a former area pottery worker and a former employee of the Rover Company.
Mr. Homman is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jerry Anders of Roseville; his son, James Homman, Jr. of Ohio; his sister, Janie Anders of Zanesville; his grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, and Jarod Anders and his great grandchild, Owen Simpson.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Lou (Sowers) Homman who passed away February 28, 1998; his sisters, Margaret Alice Kazmier, Olive Mae Bussey and Eva Faye Mangold.
Family and friends will be received 10 AM-12 noon, Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE.
Funeral services and a celebration of Jim's life will be held at 12 noon Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
