James W. "Bill" Conaway

James W. "Bill" Conaway, 66 of Roseville, Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a lengthy illness. He was born Wednesday, May 8, 1946 in Martins Ferry, the son of Kathryn Louise Cornett and the late James Earl Conaway Bill retired from Boich Mining following many years of service. He was an avid fisherman and was a loving and caring father and grandfather.

In addition to his mother, Bill is survived by his companion: Linda Riley of the home; three daughters: Billie & James Keyser and Lesley & Richard Heavilin, Jr. and Jill & Adam Wilson all of Cadiz; eight grandchildren: Seth Conaway, Zach Keyser, Katie, Allie Brooke Heavilin, Wyatt and Emmett Wilson; three sisters: Teresa & Lou Blake of Adena, Shelia Brown of Crooksville and Karen & Hugh Cunningham of Somerset; two brothers: Carl & Leresa Conaway and Jay & Vickie Conaway both of Zanesville; his beloved dog: Sadie and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by one grandson: Brandon Conaway and his stepfather: Elmer Cornett.

Friends may call Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 North Buckeye Street, Crooksville where funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Chaplin Tim Patton officiating. A caring cremation will take place and burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at a later date.
