James Lee Bobo, Sr

James L. Bobo, Sr., 69, of Crooksville, passed away at 8:31 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Zanesville Health and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.

He was born December 8, 1946 in Crooksville, the son of the late Lawrence Bobo and Lela Moore Bobo of Deavertown.

James retired from the Cesco Plant in Crooksville where he was a kiln fireman. He served our country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Bobo ; his daughter, Janice Snyder; his son James L. (Tina) Bobo, Jr., all of McConnelsville; his sisters, Shirley (Robert) Martin of Roseville and Crystal Klingler of Crooksville; his brother, Roger (Emma) Bobo of Philo; two grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his father, James was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Bobo and His son, David Bobo.

Family and friends will be received 3:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, December 4 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of James' life will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, December 5 at the funeral home with Pastors George Hughes and Dan Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Crooksville with full military honors.
