Jacob Henry Mullinex

Jacob Henry Mullinex, 80, of New Lexington, passed away July 28, 2009 at 7:07 A.M. at Good Samaritan Medical Center, with his family by his side following an extended illness. He was born August 9, 1928 in Ripley, West Virginia and later worked as a steelworker at Crown Steel in Orrville, Oh. Jacob was a loving father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Surviving are his children, Betty (Bill) Thompson of Ravenswood, WV., Mary (Delmas Lanham) Mullinex of Harrisville, WV., Donna (Jerry) of Southerly, Sisterville, WV., Debbie Little of Glenford, Oh., Linda (George) Hopkins of Logan, Brenda (Delbert) Shingleton of Shinnston, WV., and William (Jennifer) Mullinex of New Lexington; 22 grandchildren, Doug, Crystal, Tim, Michael, Chris, Paula, JJ, Richard, Lucinda, Zach, Jeremy, Amy, Josh, Daniel, Curtis, David, Brandi, Charles, Dwayne, Ashley and Delbert; 31 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter, Tracy; his sister, Geneva Williams of Kenna, WV; and brothers, Kenneth Mullinex of Kenna, W.V. and George Mulinex of Mason, WV. Jacob was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille; parents, Hubert C. Mullinex and Flossie F. Woods Mullinex; his sisters, Bertha Rhodes and Bessie Shamblin; his brother, Darrel Mullinex; granddaughter, Danielle Nuzum and great great grandson, Daniel Nuzum III. Calling hours will be held Thursday, July 30 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 31 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
