Gloria May Jackson

Gloria May Jackson, 92, of Corning, Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:46PM, Saturday, May 3, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.  She was born Wednesday, April 19, 1933 in Manchester, New Hampshire, the only daughter of the late Wendell and Ruby (nee: Skinner) Spiller.  Gloria retired from PCC Airfoils in Crooksville where she worked in the office. She had previously been an employee of TRW Automotive Holdings, Inc. formerly in Crooksville. Prior to that, she was co-owner and operator of Lemay’s Gulf Station and Market at Six Mile Turn. She was a devoted member of Bear Run Baptist Church at Six Mile Turn. Gloria enjoyed reading and playing the violin. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and friend. Gloria loved her family and they loved her and will miss her greatly.  Left behind to carry on Gloria’s legacy are her beloved children, Donna Mills, Sandra (Larry) Hurford, Pam (Jack) Clark and Tena (Tim) Sutton; her daughter-in-law, Denise Lemay; her brother, Wendell Spiller; her adored grandchildren, Roger (Lori) Mills, Jr., Tammy (Paul) Watson, Brenda (Joe) Smith, Jimmie (Charity) Lemay, Shawn (Shelly) Lemay, Brandon Lemay, Lela (Jason) Northrup, Noah Hurford (Chelsea Holland) David Clark, Michael Clark, Brenda (Allen) Harper and Cody (Bailee) White; 31great-grandchildren and 27 great great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her former husband, father of her children, Gerard ‘Jerry’ Lemay who passed away June 28, 2011; her husband, Richard Jackson who passed away June 28, 2021; her son, Gerard James ’Jerry’ Lemay; her grandsons, John K. Donaldson, II and Doug Strong; her brother, and his wife, Jim and Judy Spiller; her son-in-law, Roger Mills; her sisters-in-law, Betty Spiller and Elizabeth Spiller and her nephew, John Spiller.  Family and friends may visit to pay respects 5-8 PM, Thursday, May 8, 2025 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville. Funeral services will be held at 9 AM, Saturday, May 10 at Bear Run Baptist Church, 10119 St. Rt. 37, New Lexington with Pastor Don Harris as celebrant. Gloria will be laid to rest in Zion Cemetery, Portersville next to her mother.  Contributions may be made in memory of Gloria to Bear Run Baptist Church, Perry County Dog Shelter and Adoption Center or Perry County Cancer Alliance. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
