Glen E. Stollar

February 21, 1937 — June 6, 2017

Glen E. Stollar, 80, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 12:35 PM at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Watertown on February 21, 1937, the son of the late, Harley and Grace Payne Stollar.

Master Sergeant Stollar served his country and retired after 20 years of service from the United States Air Force, during this time he served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the VFW Post 9090 and the American Legion Post 222, both in Crooksville.

Glen is survived by his daughter, Valerie (Mike) Wintgens of Roseville; his sons, Glen (Andrea) Stollar of Cambridge and Mark (Linda) Stollar of Warsaw, IN; his grandchildren, Loretta Stollar, Marsha (Scott) Pitzen, Nicole (Chad) Locke, Mark (Heidi) Stollar, Jr., Stephanie Stollar, Matthew (Kelsie) Stollar, Jeremiah Stollar, Mylee Stollar, Mike (Staci) Wintgens, Jeannie Wintgens and Rusty Wintgens and his great-grandchildren, Sydney Pitzen, Glenn Pitzen, Finnegan Stollar, Carson Skeenes, Drake Skeenes and Skylar Dick.

In addition to his parents, Glen is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Russell Stollar who passed away January 12, 2017; his grandson, T.J. Sanna; his great-granddaughter, Treau Bemis; his sister, Alice Stollar and his brothers, Warren Stollar and Doy Stollar.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Friday, June 9 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Glen’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 10 at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Russell officiating. Burial beside his beloved wife will follow in Mt. Horeb Cemetery where full military honors will be given.

Memorial contributions may be made in Glen’s name to Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care, 713 Forest Ave. Zanesville, Ohio 43701. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
