Gertrude A. 'Mike' Blosser

Gertrude A. 'Mike' Blosser, 97, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 12:07 PM, Friday, March 4, 2016 at Willow Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville following a brief illness.

She was born May 18, 1918 in Morgan County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine Quinn Rambo.

Mike was a homemaker. She was a lifelong member of Church of The Atonement Catholic Church in Crooksville and a former member of VFW Post 9090 Auxiliary of Crooksville-Roseville.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Dorene and David Riggle and Janice and Terry Yost, all of Crooksville; her sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and Marcia Blosser of Zanesville and Jack and Wilma Blosser of Crooksville; her grandchildren, Darla Blosser, Darrin and Susan Blosser, Darlene Blosser, Bob Blosser, Scott Blosser, Angela and Bill Pennington, Teresa Blosser Rick Baker), Tim and Michelle Blosser, Kyle and Missy Riggle and Keena and Brian Carney; sixteen great grandchildren and her sister, Mae Papageorge.

In addition to her parents, Mike was preceded in detah by her husband, Edward R. Blosser who passed away November 30, 1995; her infant child at birth, Johnny Wayne Blosser; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Blosser and her sisters, Anna Smith, Margaret Swingle and Rita McNeal.

Family and friends will be received 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 6 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 7 at Church of The Atonement Catholic Church, 300 Winter St., Crooksville with Father James Csaszar officiating. Burial will follow in Community Gardens Cemetery, New Lexington beside her beloved husband.
