Gerald Bryce Clutter, 87 of Crooksville, Ohio (Rosefarm) went to be with his Lord and Savior at 5:13 PM, Monday, April 28, 2025 at Genesis Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Morgan County on Sunday, December 12, 1937, the son of Gerald and Myrville (nee: Allen) Clutter. Bryce was a 1956 graduate of York High School in Deavertown. On May 27, 1960, he married his sweetheart, Lenora Jean Wilson and they made their home together and began their family. In December of 1960, Bryce entered the US Army and served our country for the next two years. He made a career at Bailey Drug Company where he had worked as a salesman for 26 ½ years before retirement. Bryce was very active in his church and community. He was a 58 year member of Peerless Lodge 591 F & A M, Sounds of Faith Community Gospel Choir and his church choir. Bryce had served for many years as 4-H leader of Rosefarm Whiz Kids and, together with his wife, worked every summer at the Stoutsville Church Camp. As a truly devoted and faithful Christian, Bryce was a lay speaker at his church, First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville and had spoken in that capacity at other locations on various occasions. Bryce took his faith very seriously and he lived his faith setting an example for others. In addition, Bryce was the President of the Board of Trustees for Black Oak Cemetery and he had been inducted into the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame. Bryce is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Lenora Jean (nee: Wilson) Clutter; his adored children, Alice and Ken Browning, Amy and David Cady, Wesley Bryce Clutter and Anthony and Esther Diastello; his dearly loved siblings, Trinda King and Larry Clutter. He was the grandfather of Danielle, Chelsea (Anthony), Erica, Courtney (Colton), Bethany (Erik), Luke, Clay, Anthony, II, Heaven, Angel, Trinity, Eden, Zion, Judah, Eve, Theo, Victor, Christine and Justice and the great-grandfather of Cierra, Bella, Hazel, Lyllian, Emberlynn, Leelynn Bryce, Braunsyn, Weslynn and Ridge. He and Jeanny had been the babysitters for these beloved grandbabies and formed a very tight bond with them where he earned the title of ‘the fun grandpa’. Bryce will be greatly missed by his family and friends, he was one of a kind. Family and friends may visit to pay respects and support Bryce’s loved ones 2-8 pm, Thursday, May 1, 2025 at First Hope United Methodist Church, 102 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville where Masonic services will be held at 7:30. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, May 2, 2025 at the church with Pastor Clyde Boring, Rev. David Cady and Pastor Rick Seiter as celebrants. Bryce will be laid to rest in Black Oak Cemetery, Deavertown with full military honors.
