Fredrick Scott Ferguson

Fredrick Scott Ferguson, 51, of Somerset, passed away, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster following an extended illness.

Scott was born May 30, 1965 in Zanesville, the son of Frederick and Barbara Rupe Ferguson.

Scott was sick most of his life, but he never let it hold him back. He lived an active life, he especially loved riding his 4-wheeler. He won first place in the ATV pull at the 2016 Morgan County Fair, and he was so proud of his plaque and trophy and was forever grateful for his dad and nephew, Christopher for all of their help.

In addition to his parents, Scott is survived by his sister, Marilyn Gleason (Ryan Duemmel); his brothers, Keith Ferguson and Alan Ferguson all of Somerset; his grandmother, Rosa Rupe of Crooksville; his aunts and uncles, Margie (Robert) Wiseman, Gary (Sue) Rupe, Earl (Diane) Rupe, Paula (Mark) Dusenberry, Karen (Bud) Wiggens, Randy (Linda) Rupe, Addison (Marty) Ferguson and Sharon (Tim) White; his nieces and nephews, Amanda (Ryan) Spicer, Christopher Gleason (Hannah Drake), Michelle Weaver and Vanessa Ferguson; his two great nephews, Tyson Spicer and Carter Lucas and his numerous cousins.

Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wade Rupe, John and Dessie Ferguson and his aunt, Becky King.

Friends and family will be received, 2:00 PM-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the Iliff United Methodist Church, 3992 Flint Ridge Rd., Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of Scott's life will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 20 at the Church with Rev. Greg Inboden and Rev. Marilyn Murphree officiating. Scott will be buried in Iliff Cemetery next to his Grandma Ferguson.

Memorial contributions may be made in Scott's name to the Iliff Food Pantry, 3992 Flint Ridge Rd., Crooksville. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
