Esther Ann Snide, beloved wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 95. She was born on May 30, 1928, in Crooksville, Ohio.
Esther Ann graduated from Crooksville High School in 1946.
She spent many years as a bookkeeper and administrator for her husband's Optometrist practice in Coshocton.
Throughout her life, Esther Ann found great joy in training black poodle dogs, honing their tracking skills to perfection. Her dedication and passion led to numerous awards and plaques, showcasing her talent and commitment to her beloved furry companions.
Esther Ann will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her sisters-in-law, Shirley Mercer and Janet Kidd, and nieces, Angie McCormick, Trina Carr, Dawn Schooley, Jodi Wiseman, Deana Reed, and Jaime Wisecup.
Esther Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Charles Snide who died January 4, 2007, her parents, Wilford and Letha (Geddes) Mercer; her brother, Bill Mercer; her nephew, Kelly Mercer and her brothers-in-law, Dr. John (Jack) Snide and Harry Kidd.
A Funeral Service in memory of Esther Ann’s life will be held at Goebel Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 12:00 pm, with a public viewing preceding the service at 10:00 am. Following funeral services, Esther Ann will be buried in Crooksville Cemetery next to her husband.
During this time of mourning, we come together to celebrate Esther Ann’s life, legacy, and the love she shared with her family and friends. May she rest in peace knowing she was cherished by all fortunate enough to have known her.
