Ellen Louise Charles, 89, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away surrounded by her loving family at 6:05 PM, Friday, April 29, 2016 at Genesis Rehabilitation Center in New Lexington following an extended illness.

She was born April 27, 1927 in Rosefarm, Ohio, the daughter of the late Charlie and Maude (Walsh) McIntrye.

Ellen was a homemaker, loved cooking and caring for her family, especially her grandkids. She was a great fan of the Cincinnati Reds. Being a lifelong member of the Rosefarm Church of Christ, she had a strong faith in God and loved to share it with others.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Mark Jago and Jackie and John Toeller, all of Crooksville; her grandchildren, Makala and Scott Hamilton, Sonja and Josh Mumford, Ashlee and Matt Jones, John Edward Toeller and Caleb Jago; her great- grandchildren, Slade, Seth and Sloan Mumford, Haylee and Hayden Hamilton and Maggie Jones and her great great-grandchildren, Liam Mumford and Bentlee Mumford.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edward Charles who passed away November 23, 2003 and her sisters, Ardella Landerman, Norma Anderson and Evelyn Cryder.

Family and friends will be received 12:30 PM-4:00 PM, Monday, May 2 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Ellen's life will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Conard Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, near Roseville.
