Elisabeth M. "Ellie" Sherrick, 83, of Tunnel Hill Rd., Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 11:40 P.M., Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the Helen Purcell Home in Zanesville following a six month illness. She was born October 8, 1926 in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany the daughter of the late Ernst and Maria Elisabeth Schumann Schornstheimer. Ellie was a homemaker and a member of Iliff United Methodist Church at McLuney.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen (Ron) O'Connor of Zanesville and Renee (Brian) Lane of Denver, Colorado; four sons, Karl (Char) Sherrick of Zanesville, Stephan (Lucy) Sherrick of Cadiz, Kentucky, Jeff (Vickie) Sherrick of Spring, Texas and Greg Sherrick of Crooksville; one brother, Oswin Schornstheimer of Schmitten, Germany; twelve grandchildren, Damian, Jessica, Blake, Grant, and Alex Sherrick, Erik and Devin Zeek, Brittany Rollison, Bobby and Nikki Williams, Sara Milnes and Christina Daumer; six great grandchildren, Amory Brown, Tyler,Austin, and Dodge Zeek, Ciera Sherrick and Emerson Williams. In addition to her parents, Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Sherrick who died February 12, 1990. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, February 24 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, February 25 with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney.
