Donna S. Marshall, 80, of Crooksville passed away at 1:10 AM, Friday, September 13, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville following a brief illness.

Donna was born July 29, 1933, the daughter of the late Nial V. and Cleo B. Latta Sherrick.

She graduated from McLuney High School and received a Bachelors degree from Ohio University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. Donna was a retired elementary school teacher for the Crooksville School System and McLuney School. Donna was a member of the Iliff United Methodist Church in McLuney. Donna enjoyed mushroom hunting, gardening and family gatherings, especially Sunday dinners.

Donna is surivived by her two sons, Brent Marshall (Lesley Puett) of Crooksville, Bruce and Brenda Marshall of Ft. Mill, South Carolina; her sister, Peggy Winkler of Worthington and her two grandchildren, Aaron Marshall and David Marshall.

In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richard "Dick" Marshall who passed away October 26, 2008; her infant sister, Karen Sherrick; her brothers, Arnold Sherrick, Gene Sherrick, Andrew Sherrick and Richard Sherrick.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, September 15, 2013 at GOEBEL FUNERAL, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Donna's life will be held on 11:00 AM, Monday, September 16, 2013 at the funeral home with Reverend John Sellers officiating. A caring cremation will take place with a burial following in Iliff Cemetery at a later date.
