Donna Marie (Wayne) Eveland Jackson
January 9, 1936 — February 27, 2018
Donna Marie Eveland Jackson, 82, of Crooksville died on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Genesis Hospice & Palliative Care Morrison House following an extended illness.
She was born January 9, 1936 in Crooksville, the daughter of the late Robert and Lena Barker Wayne.
Donna worked for various local grocery stores, including Sowers Grocery, the Maysville IGA, Ruff's IGA and Frames Market and she later retired from the Longaberger Basket Company in Dresden. Donna was a long time member of Deavertown United Methodist Church and frequently attended the Rose Farm Church of Christ as well. She was a fierce woman who enjoyed and derived happiness from living life, whether it be shopping or spending her winters in Florida. Donna was a loving woman who enjoyed making others happy and lifting their spirits; she did so by entertaining folks with her well known portrayal of Minnie Pearl, her personal ministry of visiting the sick and the shut-ins and she also enjoyed mailing cards for every occasion.
Donna is survived by husband, Frank Jackson whom she married December 23, 2005; her daughters, Kim (Tim) Williams of Crooksville, Pam (Sid) Richardson of McConnelsville and Jennifer Eveland of Heath; her step-children, Becky (Lee) Hannold, Pam (Howard) Sealover and Angie (Steve) Hennessey all of Zanesville; her sister, Norma (Marvin) Whitehouse; her brothers, Clifford (Joyce) Wayne and Jerry (Carole) Wayne and her five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Donna is preceded in death by her first husband, Elwood Eveland who died November 29, 1982; her sisters, Zell Whitehouse and Cleo Crabtree and her brother, Connie Mack Wayne.
Friends and family will be received 4:00 PM-7:00 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Goebel Funeral Home 36 N. Buckeye St. Crooksville. Funeral services and a celebration of Donna's life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Deavertown United Methodist Church 11857 State Route 669 E., Crooksville with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Donna will be buried in Deavertown Methodist Cemetery beside her husband, Elwood.
