Dolores Tatman

Dolores Tatman, 84 of Crooksville, died peacefully, 4:04 PM, Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a lengthy illness. She was born, June 6, 1931, in Crooksville the daughter of Alfred & Audra (Karr) Shipley. She married James “Jim” Tatman April 16, 1949 and was a member of First Hope United Methodist of Crooksville.

Dolores retired from Hull Pottery following over 25 years of service. She was a former member of the Zanes & Janes Square Dance Club, Perry County Ladies Democrat Club and enjoyed singing in the church choir with her husband. Dolores was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Dolores is survived by two daughters, Renea Davis of Crooksville and Rhonda Beniker of Virginia Beach; two sons: Randy Tatman of Riverview, FL and Rod (Sharon) Tatman of Crooksville; six grandchildren: Cody, Brandon, Keith, Heather, Stacy & Austin; five great- grandchildren: Tyler, Trevor, Tabias, C.J. & Elliot and her aunt, Ruth Ann Talbot of Crooksville. The Tatman family would like also to thank special caregivers Chris, Heather and Destiny.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband: Jim Tatman who died June 13, 1998; one half sister: Gayle Fisher and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Goebel Funeral Home, 36 North Buckeye Street, Crooksville where Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 4, with Rev Gay Blau officiating.
