Denny J. Smith

Denny J. Smith, 76, of Roseville, passed away at 2:50 A.M., Friday, July 31, 2009 at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center after a 6 year courageous battle with cancer. Denny was a retired carpenter of Local 200 for 40 plus years and was a member of Church of Christ in Christian Union in New Lexington. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley M. Whitehouse Smith; children, Bobbi (James) Walters, Daniel (Mary) Smith, Kevin (Beverly) Smith, and Timmy (Amy) Smith; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Carol) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews. Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Ford and Mary Smith; his son, Randy J. Smith; his brothers, Wayne Smith and Terry Smith; sister, Nancy Greer and brother-in-law, John Greer.
Denny will be remembered for his strength in fighting this terrible disease and never meeting a stranger. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Sunday, August 2, 2009, at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Monday August 3, 2009 with Pastor Daniel Greer officiating.
