Dennis R. 'Denny' Cordle

Dennis Ross 'Denny' Cordle, 64, of Crooksville passed away at 5:16 AM, Monday, September 19, 2011 at FairHope Hospice Pickering House in Lancaster following an extneded illness.

Denny was born March 13, 1947 in Owensboro, Kentucky, the son of the late Clarence Elmer and Ruby Marie Simon Cordle.

Mr. Cordle served in the US Army in Vietnam. He retired from the Ohio National Guard. He was Catholic by faith.

Denny is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mary E. Hammond Cordle; his daughters, Brenda Fryer of New Lexington, Tammy(Darren)Pitcock of Crooksville and Jennifer Cordle and her finacee, Cris Loew II; his son, Keith(Maggie)Cordle of Crooksville; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Gaile, Dustin, Scott, Jordan, Caleb, Cailyn, Aislyn and Noah; brothers, Joe(Sharon)Cordle of Lancaster, Thomas Cordle of Shawnee, Kansas, and John Cordle of Newark; sisters, Joyce(Pearl)Phillips and Margaret Bennett and her special friend, Jack,all of Murray City, many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his son, John Thomas Cordle.

The Cordle family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Wednesday, September 21 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Denny's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 22 at the funeral home with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Somerset.
