Debbie G. Pettet, 58, of Malta, (Triadelphia) Ohio passed away surrounded by her loved ones at 11:09 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in Zanesville after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born November 9, 1958 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Jesse Justus and Olive (Amspaugh) Justus Eveland of Crooksville.

Debbie was a former employee of Mark Rest Center in McConnelsville and a former bartender at the Crooksville Eagles and the Crooksville American Legion. She was member of the Ladies' Auxiliary of American Legion Post 222 in Crooksville and VFW Post 9090 Auxiliary, Crooksville-Roseville.

Debbie is survived by her husband, of 41 years, Floyd F. 'Henry' Pettet, Jr. ; her daughters, Jessica Hockman of McConnelsville and Kelly Pettet of Malta; her sons, Floyd (Tracy) Pettet III of Amanda, Dustin (Melinda) Pettet of Malta, Bryan (Tansie) Pettet of Moxahla and Kevin Pettet of Roseville; her sister, Donna McKenzie of Columbus and Melissa Legg of Thurston; her brothers, Richard (Kim) Justus of Columbus, Danny (Evelyn) Justus of Rosefarm, Zeke (Tina) Justus of Avondale; her step-father, Richard Eveland; nineteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Justus, Jr. and her grandparents, Evert and Ethel Amspaugh.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE where Auxiliaries of American Legion Post 222 and VFW Post 9090 will hold services at 7:30 PM. Funeral services and a celebration of Debbie's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 17 at Zion Christian Union Church, Portie-Flamingo Rd., Portersville with Tony Pettet officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery in Portersville.
