Daniel S. Thorp

Daniel Scott Thorp, 42, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 12:14 PM, Monday, January 13, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Emergency room after a sudden illness.

Danny was born September 6, 1971 in Zanesville, the son of the late Delbert E. Thorp and Carolyn Smith Thorp of Crooksville.

He was a former employee of Delicom (Perry County Foods) in Mt. Perry.

In addition to his mother, Danny is survived by Carolyn's companion, Larry Crowley of Crooksville; his sisters, Lisa (Tim) Bobb, Amy Wheeler (Jim Propst) and Delberta Thorp Riffle (Glen Bash), all of Crooksville and his brother, Warren(Tammy) Thorp of Crooksville and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by his brother, Jamie and brothers-in-law, David Wheeler and Jack Riffle, Jr.

Family and friends will be received 1:00-3:00 PM, Friday, January 17 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday at Iliff Cemetery at McLuney with Pastor Marc Caton officiating where burial will take place.
