Daniel Lee Savage, Sr

Daniel Lee Savage, Sr., 64, of Crooksville, Ohio died at 10:58 AM, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at his residence.

He was born on Tuesday, June 11, 1957 in Zanesville, the son of the late Lyle and Corabelle (nee: Chevalier) Savage.

Danny was well known for his orneriness, his was very fun-loving.  He was always joking around with everyone.  He loved to go to yard sales and auctions, collecting his ‘treasures’.  He was quite the man about town as he could be seen driving around a lot.

Left behind to mourn his passing is his wife of 44 years, Rose Marie (nee: Goodin) Savage; his children, Bobbie (Keith) Treadway, Melissa Savage, Billy Savage (Delta) and bonus daughter, Rebecca Penn; his siblings, Debbie (Ron) Miller, Cora (James) Wheeler, Tammy Lyons, Terry Savage (Christie Hampton), John Savage and Richie Savage (Cathy Baker), his grandchildren, Dalton (Jenna) Kinney, Paisley Treadway, Kaitlyn Penn and Makenzie Jones and many bonus grandchildren; his great-grandchild, J.J. Penn; his favorite nephew/bonus son, Little Richie Savage who did everything with Danny and Jeff, Danny's best friend.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lee Savage, Jr.; his grandchildren, Keisha and Austin Kinney; his siblings, Joanne Thompson, Linda Green, Lana Head, Rolland Savage and David Savage, Sr. and many in-laws and other family members.

Family and friends will be received 3-8 PM, Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville.  Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday March 13 at the funeral home with Pastor Tony Richard as celebrant.  Danny will be laid to rest in Crooksville Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to help offset expenses to the funeral home.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
