Clifford Jr. Shirkey

Clifford Jr. Shirkey, 82, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 12:05 AM, Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Oak Point Nursing Home in Baltic.

He was born July 31, 1933 in Perry County, the son of the late Clifford M. and Mayme Dennis Shirkey.

Clifford had worked as a technician in the heating and air conditioning industry. He served our country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Also, he was a member of the American Legion at posts in Zanesville and Kentucky.

Clifford is survived by his daughter, Julie Dennis of Worthington; his sons, Rick Shirkey of Grove City and Gary (Laura) Shirkey of Carrel; his sister, Joan Houk of Crooksville; his brothers, Henry (Betty) Shirkey of Zanesville and Ernest (Irene) Shirkey of Fultonham and 10 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Profit Shirkey who passed away in 2004; his son, Clifford Wayne Shirkey; his daughter-in-law, Linda Shirkey; his sister, Margaret Cavinee and his brothers, William Shirkey and Terry Shirkey, Jr.

In keeping with Cliffords' wishes, cremation will take place.
