Clara L. Rambo

Clara L. Rambo, 86, of Crooksville peacefully passed away at 6:46 PM, Monday, March 2, 2015 at Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care Morrison House in Zanesville.

Clara was born April 28, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Almeda Shaner Thorp. Clara married her loving husband of sixty-seven years, Robert J. Rambo on March 29, 1946. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed making crafts and spending her winters in Florida. Her greatest joys in life were her loving family and her home.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Shirley (Don) Hinkle; her sons, Robert J. Rambo, II. and Kim (Debbie) Rambo all of Crooksville; her grandchildren, Marnie (Kirk) Williams, Brian (Barb) Dusenberry, Michelle (Aaron) Turk, Matt (Kristen) Rambo, Nicole (Jeff) Shaffer, Melissa Rambo and Jamey (Jessica) Hinkle; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Sue) Thorp; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Brandon, Brody, Eric, Brian, Brittany, Hayden, Heath, Addison, Madison, Julia, Layla, Kaylee, Payden and Logan and her great-great-granddaughter, Sofia.

In addition to her parents, Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Rambo, who passed away August 11, 2013; her sisters, Louise Allen, Hazel Winegardner, Evelyn Smith and Barbara Spencer and her brothers, Frank, Thomas and Carlos Thorp.

Family and friends will be received, 6:00 PM-8:00 PM, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Clara's life will be 11:00 AM, Friday, March 6 at the funeral home with Rev. Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery.
