Cheryl L. Sowers

Cheryl L. Sowers, 66, of Lancaster, Ohio, formerly of Crooksville passed away at 12:48 PM, Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster following an extended illness.

Cheryl was born January 12, 1945 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late James and Betty Williams Matheny.

Mrs. Sowers had retired from PCC Airfoils in Crooksville.

She is survived by her daughters Destry (Kevin) Graham of Zanesville and Jodi Adams of Crooksville; her sons, Dirk (Susie) Sowers of Lancaster and James (Kari) Sowers of Crooksville; her brother, Tim Matheny of McConnelsville; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Lee Sowers who passed away December 14, 1993.

No visitation will take place. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 23 at Crooksville Cemetery with Pastor Galen Finley officiating with burial to follow next to her husband.
