Charles H. Willison

Charles H. Willison, 87, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away late afternoon, Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at his residence following an extended illness.

Chuck was born January 19, 1926 at Milligan's Bend in McLuney, the son of the late Charles W. and Mabel Brown Willison.

He served our country in the US Navy in WWII. Chuck was retired from Rockwell International in Newark. He was Protestant by faith. Chuck was a member of the VFW Post 9090, Crooksville-Roseville, American Legion Post 222 in Crooksville and the Perry County Baseball Hall of Fame.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Gene Lyle of Crooksville; his sons and daughter-in-law, Nial 'Rick' Willison of Malta and Lloyd 'Randy' and Debbie Willison of Crooksville; his grandchildren, Theresa (John) Bates, Travis Willison, Christina (Rick) Kinney and Nicole Willison; his great grandchildren, Travis, Chase, Hunter, Lane, Haley, Amber, Braxton and Kyle; his brother, Lloyd Willison and many special friends and neighbors.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Juanita North Willison who passed away March 23, 1996; his brothers, Dalbert, Paul, Nial and Edwin Willison and his sisters, Virginia Atkinson, Evelyn Abrams, Ann Kuhn, Ina Henning, Madge Wolfe and Niaoma Hinkle.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 Friday, October 4 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Chuck's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 6 at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Diamond officiating. Chuck will be buried next to his wife in Iliff Cemetery in McLuney.
