Charles Wesley Hill, Sr.

Charles Wesley Hill, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in New Lexington, OH. Born on September 13, 1950, Charles was known for his kind and gentle nature, his love for country music, playing guitar and singing, classic cars. His warm heart especially shone through when he was with his grandchildren.

Charlie was a dedicated truck driver who took pride in his work, and his commitment to his family was unmatched. Survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Kinney) Hill, children April, Wesley (Stacy) Eric (Reva), Chris (Ashley), Zack, Tony (Ruth), Robert and Roger (Cheyenne) along with their families, Charlie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

He is also survived by his sisters, Ann, Margaret, and Sue, brother, Bill, and their respective families, all of whom he held dear. Charlie's absence will be deeply felt by those who knew him and loved him and a whole host of grandkids,  Hunter, Abigail, Sophia, Brayson, Amista, Seth, Nathaniel, Nalani, Gabriella, Warren, Brendan, Andi, Tracey, Kenlyn, Weston, Clayton, Justin, Rylee, Isaiah, Chelsie.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Juanita (North) Hill; his daughter, Danielle Hill; siblings, Everett Hill, Jr., Ike Hill, Jeanie Hiles, Rodger Hill, Evelyn Pletcher, Sylvia 'Toby' Burns and grandson, Landon Hill.

Family and friends may visit to honor Charlie's life at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., Crooksville on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10 am-1pm.  The celebration of his life will take place at the funeral home at 1 pm followed by a burial service at Iliff Cemetery at McLuney. All friends and family are welcome to attend to celebrate the life of this remarkable man who touched the hearts of so many.
