Charlene Kay Rhodes, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, left this life on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the age of 77 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 19, 1947, in Zanesville, Ohio, Charlene touched the lives of many with her kindness, unwavering support, and deep affection for her family.
Charlene dedicated much of her working life to the manufacturing industry, contributing her skills to various local potteries, as well as Ballas Egg and Burger King. Her strong work ethic and dedication were a testament to her resilient spirit. Charlene was a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 222, where she engaged with her community and forged lasting friendships. She cherished the great outdoors and loved camping, often creating beautiful memories surrounded by nature. Above all, Charlene’s greatest joy came from the moments spent with her family. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always present and ready to lend a listening ear or a loving embrace. She leaves behind a reputation of unwavering commitment to her Lord and God. Charlene was a dedicated member of the Word of God Community Church, where she spent her Sundays worshipping.
Charlene is survived in life by her children; Tina Booher, Ron (Jennifer) Booher, Rick (Toshia) Booher, Barbie (Bob) Eltringham, Rob (Renee) Booher and Billie Carr; as well as her 23 grandchildren, her 50 great-grandchildren and her 6 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, William Rhodes, her parents, Warren Russell III and Bonnie (Hartley) King; her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Mike Carter; and her son, Daryl Rhodes. As well as her grandson, Robert Grant Eltringham and her great-granddaughter, Everly Fox.
Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects from 12-2:00 PM, Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Word of God Community Church, 5445 3rd St, Roseville, OH 43777 with funeral services following at 2:00 PM with Pastor Marc Caton officiating. Charlene will then be buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
