Cecelia Ann Newlon

Cecelia Ann Newlon, 74 of Lancaster, Ohio formerly of Crooksville, passed away at 8:15 AM, Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster following an extended illness.

She was born January 28, 1937 in Morgan County, the daughter of the late Harry R. Lewis and Elizabeth Adams Lewis Bankes.

Mrs. Newlon was a former teacher in the Bloom-Carroll Schools and a member of Fairfield Community Church.

Cecelia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marlon T. "Pete" Newlon; her daughter and son-in-law, Julie Ann and Scott Alan Hubbard of Lancaster; her son and daughter-in-law, James Russell and Deborah Newlon of Kokomo, Indiana; her brothers, Thomas H. Lewis of San Mateo, California and David L. Lewis of Hadden Heights, New Jersey and three grandchildren, Jenny Leigh and Ryan Michael Newlon and Grayson Scott Hubbard.

In addition to her parents, Cecelia was preceded in death by her sister, Sarah Jane Rodgers.

The Newlon family will receive visitors Monday, 2-4 and 6-8 PM, July 11 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Cecelia's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 12 with Pastor Larry Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney.
