Carolyn Watts, 98 formerly of Crooksville, died 8:30 PM, Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Adams Lane Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was born July 20, 1913 in Watertown, the daughter of Harley Seely & Laura (Wood) Seely-Pettit. She married Lawrence Noah Watts and was a member of First Hope United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the choir for over 60 years. She was a graduate of Meredith Business College and previously worked for potteries in the area. She was an 80-year member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Carnation Chapter.
She is survived by one daughter: Susan & John Browning of Crooksville; one son: Kyle David & Jan Watts of Malta: seven grandchildren: Ken & Alice Browning, Bob & Kelly Browning, Lisa Bohon, Justin Watts, Natalie Johnson, Ryan Wade and Emily Watts; nine great grandchildren: Erica, Courtney, Blair & Lane Browning, Eli Watts, Morgan & Ciara Wilson, Tanner Lewis and Ashton Hofstetter.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Noah Watts who died July 13, 1983; one son: Jay Watts and one grandson: Brent Watts; one brother: John Ward and two sisters: Charlotte Keith and Imogene Earnest.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM till 2:00PM, Monday, October 24, 2011 at First Hope United Methodist Church, 102 North Buckeye Street, Crooksville, where funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Gay Blau officiating. Burial will follow in Crooksville Cemetery. The Goebel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
