Carolyn Gibbs, 80, of Crooksville, peacefully passed into eternal life in the evening hours of Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Genesis Morrison House.
She was born on November 10, 1944, in Zanesville, a daughter to the late, Joseph and Mildred (Beatrice) Buty.
Following her graduation from Corning High School, Carolyn went on to graduate from the Meredith School of Business. She took her newfound skills and went to work for Clay Craft and then Racine Hydraulics where she was the bookkeeper. Her greatest job was that of homemaker, raising her children and caring for her home.
Carolyn was a kind person, the kind of person who had a heart of gold, a heart so big for those in her life, especially her children and grandchildren. She was selfless to the core, never thinking of herself, putting everyone in her life before herself. A hardworking woman who can now finally rest in peace.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Amy (Greg) Hull and Chad (April) Gibbs; her sister, Beatrice Dean; her grandchildren, Alex Gibbs and Joshua Gibbs, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ayden Gibbs and Mackenzie Gibbs.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by her husband, Roland Gibbs; her grandmother, Isabelle Beatrice; her aunt, Mary Lou Musick and her brother-in-law, Jim Dean.
The family has chosen to mourn privately, Carolyn will be cremated and buried in Oakfield Cemetery.
