Betty Ruth Cawood

Betty Ruth Cawood, 86, of New Lexington, formerly of Spring City, Tennessee passed away, Monday, August 14, 2017 at Genesis Health and Rehabilitation in New Lexington.

She was born October 22, 1930 in Moxahala, the daughter of the late, Harry and Leafie Johnston Bateson.

Betty was a former assembler at the Philco Factory in Sandusky. Betty was Catholic by faith.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Bateson of Crooksville; several nieces and nephews and many other loving family members.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Cawood who died in January 2015; her brother, Robert Bateson and her sisters, Roberta Mills and Abbie Metzger.

Family and friends will be received, 1:30 PM-2:30 PM, Friday, August 18, 2017 at the GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Graveside services will follow in Crooksville Cemetery with Deacon Mark Weiner officiating.
