Bette M. Grant

Bette Maxine Grant, 81, of Crooksville, Ohio passed away at 9:24 PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville after a brief illness.

Bette was born October 14, 1930 in Pomeroy, the daughter of the late James Walter "Drag" Thomas and Maxine Jenkinson Russell.

She was a former employee of Sylvania Electric in Point Pleasant, West Virginia and Mosaic Tile Company in Zanesville. Bette was a member of Deavertown United Methodist Church.

Bette is survived by her godson, Thomas Joseph (Sue) Abella of Roseville and special friends and caregivers, Harry and Betty Gibbs of Deavertown, Dolores Dillehay and Belva Ball, both of Crooksville.

In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Dana Robert "Bob" Russell.

Family and friends will be received 5:00 until 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Bette's life will be at 12 noon, Friday, February 17 at the funeral home with Pastor John Sellers officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery, McLuney.
