Barbara S. Searles

Barbara Sue Searles, 58, of Roseville, Ohio passed away surrounded by her loving family at 6:05 PM, Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.

She was born Thursday, March 5, 1959 in Zanesville, the daughter of the late Carroll and Barbara (Ferguson) Gardner.

Barb was the former owner of the Shape Escape in Crooksville. She also was a former decorator at Beaumont Pottery in Crooksville and a nurse's aide at Ketcham's Nursing Home that was located near Sayre in Perry County. She especially enjoyed caring for her two granddaughters and cleaning.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Searles whom she married in June of 2006; her daughter, Dana and her fiancé`, Jeremy White of Roseville; her sisters, Annette (David) Knight and Mary Smith, all of New Lexington, Tammy (Michael) Searles of Rosefarm; her brothers, Wesley 'Butch' (Darlene) Gardner of Crooksville and Dale (Vanessa) Gardner of Rosefarm; her two granddaughters whom she loved dearly, Paige and Mya Lindsey; several nieces, nephews, cousins and her beloved aunts, Becky Hoopes, Gletta Mendenhall, Vicky Hall and Debbie Ratliff Andrews.

Family and friends will be received 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Sunday, October 8 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE. Funeral services and a celebration of Barb's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 9 at the funeral home with Pastor Conard Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery at McLuney.
