Arthur M. Targo, Jr

July 10, 1946 — May 8, 2017

Arthur M. Targo, Jr., 70, of Crooksville, formerly of Delavan, WI, passed away Monday, May 8, 2017 at his home, following a short battle with cancer.

He was born July 10, 1946 in Chicago, IL, to Arthur and Edith (Wooley) Targo.

Arthur graduated in 1964 from Badger High School in Lake Geneva, WI. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He owned Art Targo Masonry in Delavan, WI and the Transportation Station, Darien, WI before completely retiring and moving to Crooksville in 1996. He has since enjoyed and made many friends while participating in classic car shows around the area. Arthur very much enjoyed restoring classic cars (of which he owned many). Arthur greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and keeping current on national political issues.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 35 years, Nancy (Deering) Targo of the home; his brothers, Gordon Targo of Pell Lake, WI, Doug (Donna) Targo of Darien, WI and Wayne Targo of Elkhorn, WI; his children, Michael York of Delavan, WI, Elizabeth (Rick) Chevalier of Crooksville, Kathy (Shawn) Smith of Roseville, Ardith Downour of Somerset and Scott York of Lake Geneva, WI; his several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of to which he enjoyed teaching things.

No calling hours or visitation will be observed per Arthur's request. There will be a celebration of Arthur's life at a later date. Please contact the family for more information.
