Albert V. Adkins

Albert Vinson Adkins, 65, of Crooksville, passed away at 9:31 A.M., Saturday, October 10, 2009 in New Lexington after an extended illness. Albert was born April 4, 1944 in Huntington, WV to the late Arzel Adkins and Bernice Bias Adkins. He was a retired computer analyst and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his grandchildren, Jack Lee Riffle, Colt Riffle, Carlo Dunwoody, Kayla Thorp, Warren Thorp, Emily Thorp, David Wheeler, Jennifer Wheeler, Casey and Amanda, Caleb Wheeler, Megan Wheeler, Trisha Thorp, Helen Bobb, George Bobb, Katie Bobb, James Blevins and Jay Blevins; special friends, Daniel Thorp, Lisa (Tim) Bobb, Carolyn Thorp and Larry Crowley, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lee Riffle, Tracy (Greg) Sullivan, Amy Wheeler and Warren J. Thorp. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Wandel E. Atkins. Friends may call from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2009 at GOEBEL FUNERAL HOME, 36 N. BUCKEYE ST., CROOKSVILLE, where funeral services will begin at 1 P.M. with Rev. Wilbur R. McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Iliff Cemetery , McLuney.
