PAT GOEBEL
Pat Goebel, owner, funeral director, embalmer, and insurance Pre-need agent established Goebel Funeral Home in 1974 upon purchasing this firm that was formerly Fred L. Cannon & Sons and prior to that was Cannon & Cannon Funeral Home. He was born in Chillicothe in 1944, the third son of Ernie and Leora Hartley Goebel. Pat graduated from CHS (Chillicothe High School) in 1962, attended Ohio University and went on to graduate from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1967, acquiring his Ohio Funeral Directors and Embalmers licenses in 1968.
Pat’s daughters are Amy Goebel, a pharmaceutical rep for Obagi and Julie Goebel, owner and operator of Goebel Hearing Center in Chillicothe. Both live in the Columbus area. Shane and Cody Harkless are his grandsons and live in Chillicothe. In 1982, he married Dorothy Harbaugh Goebel and together they have tirelessly served the families of our community.
Pat is a member of the NRA, Peerless Lodge 591 F. & A.M, Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite, Crooksville Eagles, Amrou Grotto, Knights of Columbus, Ohio Embalmers Assoc., Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc., New Lexington Elks, Moose Lodge, Zanesville Rifle Club, Ohio Rifle & Pistol Assoc., and a very active member of Church of the Atonement Catholic Church.
Pat’s hobbies are hunting, fishing, shooting sports, cooking, gardening and most of all, taking care of and spending time with his numerous pets. His dedication to providing the finest funeral service available is unequalled by anyone in the profession and plans to continue being the ”caregiver in funeral service” to all in Crooksville, Roseville and the surrounding areas.
DOROTHY GOEBEL
Dorothy (Harbaugh) Goebel, owner, funeral director, embalmer, and insurance Pre-need agent has served our communities with excellence for more than 28 years having worked at Goebel Funeral Home prior to attending Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Born in Zanesville in 1954, the fourth child of the late Bernard Harbaugh and Harriett Weiner Harbaugh Densmore of Crooksville, Dorothy graduated from Crooksville High School (also CHS) in 1972, attended Ohio University and graduated from CCMS in 1980, becoming a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1981. She married Pat Goebel in 1982 and worked side by side with him to help raise his two daughters and make Goebel Funeral Home what it is today.
Dorothy is a very active member of Church of the Atonement Catholic Church, Ohio Funeral Directors Assoc., Ohio Embalmers Assoc., and VFW 9090 Auxiliary. She shares Pat’s hobbies of fishing, hunting, gardening, shooting sports, cooking and canning, and caring for their 17 pets. Dorothy is also an avid dancer, taking dance classes since the age of 4 and she spent many years teaching dance. She still takes classes in clogging, tap, and jazz.

DOUG LUNDELL
Kevin “Doug” Lundell is the General Duties Assistant for Goebel Funeral Home and Cremation Services. He was born July 11, 1957 in Zanesville to Buck and Bonnie Meadows Lundell of Roseville. Doug graduated from Crooksville High School in 1976 and served four years in the United States Marine Corp following graduation. He married Missy Cavinee Lundell on May 13, 1977, and together they have four children: Trisha and Greg McKanzie; Kayla Lundell; Colt and Sara Lundell; he enjoys each moment with his grandchildren, Riley Kate McKenzie and Brynn Elizabeth Lundell and the newest addition, Wyatt Lundell. Doug is a very involved member of the First Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville, loves spending time with his family and friends, golfing with his dad and eating his mom’s home cooking. He also enjoys hunting with his bird dog, Deuce, fishing, football and and avidly supporting Crooksville Athletics. Doug takes his duties here at Goebel Funeral Home very seriously. He sees his employment as an opportunity to give back to Roseville, where he was born, as well as to Crooksville where he has lived for thirty years. Lundell states he wouldn't want to live anywhere but here, because it's where he's been his whole life.
